Pro Bono Representation: Mr. Baron has represented several indigent clients 

pro bono, referred by the Dade County Bar Association Put Something Back Program and the Federal Court Volunteer Lawyers Project.  He has also 

donated hundreds of hours of his time for pro bono representation of 

North Miami Beach/Aventura area residents in legal challenges to zoning 

and development decisions that would adversely affect the environment, 

historical character, and aesthetics of Greynolds Park, a Miami-Dade County

Regional Park (see Facebook Page for related stories).

Community Activities: Mr. Baron has a distinguished record of being active in


legal/justice, civic, and cultural community organizations and served as an 


elected member of the Northeast Miami-Dade County Community Council 


(zoning board for unincorporated region).  He serves as general counsel


to GASP of Miami, a community non-profit organization (pro bono).


He has served on the ACLU Miami Chapter Legal Panel (representing civil


rights plaintiffs and screening/investigating potential civil rights cases) and


has served on the boards of directors and/or executive committees of several 


organizations, including the Sierra Club Miami Group, Friends of the Oleta 


River, Humanists of Florida Association, Congress of Secular Jewish 


Organizations, American Jewish Congress Southeast Region, and 


Citizens Accountability Network.  He is also a fan of local musical 


organizations, including the Folk Club of South Fla., Broward Folk Club, 


and South Fla. Bluegrass Association, and is an amateur fiddler.
